DISCUSSION How can the heritage of moving image be more open to diversity? How can we handle the gaps in film history? How do we deal with stories that never saw the light of day, stories that lived but were forgotten, that disappeared or that were even deliberately discarded? How can we make sure that the archives we build today will last far into the future?
Organised in collaboration with Stockholm Museum of Women’s History.

Contributors: Anna Linder, founder of SAQMI – The Swedish Archive for Queer Moving Images. Jan Holmberg, film critic, author and CEO of The Ingmar Bergman Foundation – the organisation responsible for safeguarding Ingmar Bergman’s archive. Dagmar Brunow, archival researcher specialising in the archive’s role in cultural memory and how archives handle the heritage of film from a diversity perspective. Helene Larsson Pousette, Head of Research and Collection at Stockholms Kvinnohistoriska – a museum that aims to ensure that women’s history and stories are explored, acquired, preserved, communicated and made visible.

SAMTAL Hur kan den rörliga bildens kulturarv bli mera öppet för mångfald? Hur hanterar vi luckorna i filmhistorien? Berättelserna som aldrig blev, berättelserna som blev men glömdes bort, försvann eller rentav kastades? Hur ska man arbeta för att arkiven som byggs upp i dag håller för framtiden? Arrangerat tillsammans med Stockholms kvinnohistoriska.
Medverkande: Anna Linder, grundare av SAQMI – The Swedish Archive for Queer Moving Images. Jan Holmberg, filmvetare, författare och vd för Stiftelsen Ingmar Bergman, som har till syfte att förvalta Bergmans arkiv. Dagmar Brunow, som forskar kring arkivets roll för vårt kulturella minne, och hur olika arkiv hanterar filmarvet utifrån ett mångfaldsperspektiv. Helene Larsson Pousette, ansvarig för forskning och samling på Stockholms Kvinnohistoriska – ett museum som ska verka för att kvinnors historia och historier undersöks, förvärvas, bevaras, förmedlas och synliggörs.
